Price's final basketball season
We are about to have the last basketball game of Price's senior year.
I'm kind of sad not to watch this boy play basketball any more.
It has been a major part of our lives for most of his life.
But then again in high school, so has golf, cross country, swim team, and track...
….Let's bring on volleyball season!
One thing Price does not do is sit around and do nothing.

It's Official!
Sydney got her driver's permit!!!
On the way home from church yesterday there were 5 cars with permitted drivers at the wheel.
It was shall we say, a little scary, but we all made it home safely!

Random Conversations #122
Getting ready for school we were listening to Pandora and the song by Rascal Flats "Take me There" came on
Eliza: That's creepy!
Me: What?
Eliza: This song, "I want to know everything about you, go down every road you've been..."
Me: He's in love with her.
Eliza: That makes more sense.

Random Conversations #121
Putting Eliza to bed tonight she kept bringing up new things to talk about to prolong the inevitable...
Eliza: I wonder what the Tooth Fairy looks like.
Me: I hear she is really beautiful! ;)
Eliza: Mom, who were Adam and Eve's parents?
Me: Heavenly Father and Mother
Eliza: Do you think Adam and Eve had belly buttons?
Me: That one, I do not know.
Eliza: Hey Mom, which way are babies supposed to come out head first or feet first?
Me: Head first. Good night Liza.

Eliza: Mom, will you please remember to call the tooth fairy and remind her to come?
Me: Sure!
Eliza: How do you even do that?
Me: When you are a mom you'll know.
Eliza: I don't even care how you do it ...... she's the only fairy I believe in.

Labor Day
For Labor Day we took a little trip up to the Payson area to go to Tonto Natural Bridge,
one of my favorite childhood Arizona destinations.
My brother Taylor, his son Steele and Price's friend, Whitney came with us.
We hiked and jumped from bolder to bolder. It is really fun! All of our kids are capable of getting themselves where we are going without much help. I have to admit, I do enjoy that!

Carlsbad Caverns
I'm not feeling particularly wordy right now, so I'm going to let these pictures speak for themselves and take one step closer to being caught up with my blog.
San Antonio
On our way home from the cruise we took a few pit stops to make the 20 hour drive more bearable.
Our first stop was in San Antontio.
Love that city!
It was beautiful, The River Walk was breathtaking!

Marley: Mom, you know what I don't like about the desert?
Me: What??
Marley: You can just look out at it from the window and know that it is hot. That is also what I hate about our backyard.
Me: ???
Marley: Our backyard doesn't look like a desert so you look out at it and it looks like it would be nice. But it's not, it's hot. Our backyard lies!!!

Wake boarding
When we had a bunch of little kids, I was so excited for the day when they would all be able to ride a bike. Then we could all go on a bike ride together. In my head, that is when we would finally make it.
Turns out I wasn't quite right about that. We finally made it when all of our kids learned to wake board. :)
This is Eliza's first summer as a wake boarder. She got right up her first try!
Lane, venturing out of the wake!
Marley, never afraid and going at it with all she's got!
Sydney, getting really good at jumping!
Price, he's just really fun to watch!

San Francisco
Rob and I spent the weekend in San Francisco with Susie (Rob's sister) and her husband Jon.
We walked farther than I had in a really long time.
We rode bikes farther than I had in a really long time.
We laughed harder than I had in a really long time.

The Angel Moroni
We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
We are Mormons.
We love it and everything about it.
Our lives are better because of our church.
A temple is being built just 5 miles from our home,
and we are sooooo excited!!!!
I have been hiking 1-2 times a week with some friends near the temple so we have watched it coming to shape. It takes my breath away!
The day they put the Angel Moroni on top of our temple we took some of the young women from our ward to see it.
I feel very blessed!
